still exist, the state-run restaurants. One of them is called Yan Ji and Beijing for many an institution. I know this restaurant for 20 years and it has in this period rather shabby, pretty dirty, noisy and smoky, with a fix to the Tables, plastic chairs assembled in a fairly friendly, designed with a no smoking restaurant occupied.
specialty is Korean-type cold noodles prepared from buckwheat flour in a similarly cold soup, enriched with a piece
beef, an apple, hard boiled some cabbage and sometimes with an egg. Some chili paste and vinegar - that is the meal. I can not say that this is my favorite pasta dish, but the Chinese "Pasta Kitchen" to offer still more. For a nostalgic trip to the "old" Beijing to visit this place is definitely good enough, even if the noodles according to the expert Jessie is not quite as good as in earlier times.
Also, this restaurant had, however, due to current events, the menu reduced to a few house specialties. Well, these meats are so according to Chinese medicine anyway to recommend more in the winter.
